Ethical contemporary lighting
Saul J Grant is an independent lighting and furniture designer/maker, based in South East London.
In 2011 Saul founded his first design company, making lamps in his shed. The brand expanded quickly, and made a name for itself supplying bespoke sculptural lighting and furniture for individuals, bars and restaurants around London. More recently Saul’s designs have successfully exhibited at Handmade Britain, The East London Design Show and Design Junction, and held a sell out exhibition at Anthropologie’s Kings Road Store.
All Saul’s lamps are hand crafted from steel and reclaimed industrial salvage, creating unique sculptural lighting. Committed to ethical design, only reclaimed timber, recycled steel and energy efficient light bulbs are used in the manufacturing process. Each unique design comes fitted with beautifully designed Factorylux Eco or Carbon Filament reproduction bulbs, which are durable, live a long life and manufactured in the EU.
All timber is sourced locally, reusing salvaged pier timbers, ceiling joists and railway sleepers, allowing access to tropical hardwoods without the environmental costs.
